Let us give helping hand to make a child successful in studies
Background
The Mississippi chapter of Education for All sphere headed by Dr Gowdhami Mohan is supporting the launching of a local initiative with the help of volunteers in Clarksdale, Mississippi in partnership with Christ the King Ministries, Clarksdale, MS, to serve children in Coahoma County, a region facing significant socio-economic challenges including poverty, lack of access to quality education, inadequate healthcare, and unsafe home environments.
This afterschool initiative aims to provide helping hand to middle and high school students through structured educational support and value-based learning—empowering them to become responsible, self-reliant citizens.
Program Details

This is a free program and students do not need to pay any fees to the program.
Beginning in Fall 2025, the afterschool program will run three days a week, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Christ the King Ministries in Clarksdale. The program will be staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers.
The schedule includes:

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Academic support (tutoring, homework help, subject reinforcement)

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Value-based education through:

Moral Stories

music

Team-building games

This dual approach addresses both intellectual and character development, helping students grow into well-rounded individuals.

Important Notice:
This free afterschool program is led by local volunteers in partnership with Christ the King Ministries in Clarksdale, while Education for All will try to provide any support for the program by bringing sponsors.

Participation is voluntary and requires a signed consent and liability waiver before enrollment as outlined by the volunteers and the Church.

Education for All is not responsible for injuries or incidents during the program as it is not monitored by Education for All on a day to day basis.
Please contact the Christ the King Ministries and the local volunteer team to receive and submit the required forms before your child attends.

Sponsorship Opportunity:
This program is free for students. For sponsors to support this cause please use the below contribution options. Your support will help to cover any expenditures such as snacks, books and supplies. A $10 will help to cover cost for one child per week. Sponsors are encouraged to do monthly recurring contributions using the below options.
